Hunt

Consumer health data policy

Effective October 5, 2026

The short version

Who this covers

This policy is for anyone who uses the Hunt app at app.hunt.tech, and it meets Washington's My Health My Data Act and Nevada's consumer health data law. Hunt is run by Hunt Tech LLC, 502 W 7th St, Ste 100, Erie, PA 16502, United States. It sits beside our privacy policy, which covers all the personal data Hunt handles. Where the two differ for health data, this one applies.

"Consumer health data" means personal information that identifies you and describes your past, present or future physical or mental health, such as a condition, a disability, a treatment or a need for an accommodation.

What Hunt may hold

Hunt never asks you for health data, and works fully without it. It holds health data only when you put it in:

Hunt doesn't infer health data from anything else, and it collects no precise location, so it never places a geofence around a health care provider.

Where it comes from

Only from you: what you add to Hunt, and the mailbox you choose to connect.

How it's used

Only to provide what you ask Hunt for: to answer an application question the way you choose (the default is always "prefer not to answer"), to keep your tracker and its emails, and to draft for you. Never for ads, never to profile you, and never to train AI models.

Who handles it

We never sell consumer health data, and never share it with anyone for their own use. Hunt has no affiliates that receive it. Two of our processors handle it, only on our instructions and under written agreements:

If you write to us about it, our email host, Google Workspace, holds your message. Beyond these, we disclose consumer health data only if the law requires it. You choose whether to send any of it to an employer: Hunt never submits an application for you.

Your rights

You can, at any time and for free:

To ask, write to privacy@hunt.tech from the email on your account (we may ask you to confirm it's you some other way). We answer within 45 days. If we need more time, up to 45 days more, we'll tell you why within the first 45. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.

Appeals

If we turn down a request, we'll say why. You can appeal by replying with "Appeal" in the subject, within a reasonable time. A person reviews it and tells you the outcome, and why, within 45 days. If we deny your appeal and you live in Washington, you can contact the Washington State Attorney General at atg.wa.gov/file-complaint. In Nevada, you can contact the Nevada Attorney General at ag.nv.gov.

Changes

We'll post any change here and update the date at the top. For a change that matters, such as a new kind of health data or a new use, we'll tell you in the app and on this page first, and ask for your consent before using health data you already gave us in a new way. Google Analytics, on the site and in the app, counts visits and screens over time, never which role, company, fact or email, and never health data (see the privacy policy). No other third party collects information about your online activities through Hunt.
